About
The bridge
The Shakey Bridge is a suspension footbridge in Cork that sways when you walk across it. It connects one side of the River Lee to the other — nothing more, nothing less. It was built in 1927, and it still works. That felt like the right name for a software studio.
The studio
Shakey Bridge Software is a one-person indie studio based in Cork, Ireland. I write Clojure, mostly. I build tools for people who prefer software that does less, better. Small teams, solo practitioners, anyone tired of bloated platforms that try to be everything.
What I care about
Constraint over abundance. Privacy by default. Software that earns its place on your device. No telemetry, no analytics, no dark patterns. If it doesn't need to be online, it isn't. If it doesn't need an account, it doesn't ask for one.
What this isn't
Not a startup. Not looking for funding. Not trying to scale. Not building a platform. Just making good tools, slowly, for people who notice the difference.
